Leaders of European research gathered at the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) in Grenoble, France on 15 November for a special event to mark the 10th anniversary of the formation of EIROforum, a partnership of the eight largest European inter-governmental scientific research organisations (EIROs).

The Spotlight on Science event featured eight young scientists representing the EIROs’ diverse fields of research: from the origins of the universe to life beyond the Milky Way, from understanding the molecules that govern human biology to developing the materials that will provide tomorrow’s technologies.
