EIROforum and European Commission sign plans for future cooperation

On 30 May, EIROforum and the European Commission signed their new joint work plan for the years 2018-2020

In a meeting in Brussels, EIROforum’s Directors-General assembly and EC Director-General for Research and Innovation, Jean-Eric Paquet, agreed on joint priorities for future cooperation in specific areas of interest, leveraging synergies between EIROforum and the Commission. The work plan sets out collaborations on topics such as the European Open Science Cloud, science education, the sustainability and innovation potential of research infrastructures in Europe and the future EU framework programme for research and innovation.

The previous day the EIROforum Directors General met with the President of the European Research Council, Jean-Pierre Bourguignon, to discuss how to further enhance research excellence in Europe.
