View of the LHC accelerator in the tunnel

Almost 1000 of the 1232 dipole magnets have been delivered to CERN, and over 200 magnets are already installed in the LHC’s underground tunnel. In order for technicians to get around the 27-km tunnel that houses the LHC various methods of transportation must be employed.
