DESCRIPTION:WAM2020 – The challenges of industrialisation in metal additive manufacturing: what the combination of large instruments and models brings. \nThe Laue–Langevin Institute and the ESRF are organising WAM2020 “Workshop on Additive Manufacturing” from 1–3 April 2020 in Grenoble\, France\, with the support of CEA-LITEN. \nThis event is intended for industrialists and academic groups working with industry. The aim is to highlight the latest developments in terms of advanced characterisation – with large instruments in particular – and their coupling with modelling to make manufacturing processes more reliable. The pooling of fundamental knowledge is becoming necessary in order to bring this technology to a high level of reliability.
