Human Resources
Current demographic and cultural trends, as well as varying regional and national practices make it difficult for Europe to mobilise its best young talents for European research. Improving the recuitment and mobility of researchers and countering the loss of talent is a prerequisite for the success of the European Research Area.
The challenge is to provide the intellectual, cultural and financial incentives to retain European researchers and to attracte non-European researchers to Europe. It can be met by supporting mobility of researchers and devising career paths that function as an integrated whole. As international employers, EIROforum organisations have accumulated significant expertise in achiving those goals.
EIROforum promotes the recruitment and retention of women in scientific and technical areas. Through projects to engage girls in science early in their education, EIROforum works to increase the number of qualified women in the fields of science and technology.
